3D Printed Camera & Telescope Accessories

The plastic around optics is where printing earns its keep — the glass itself is exactly where it does not, and we will never print a lens or a mirror. What we can print is everything that protects, mounts and focuses them: push-fit caps sized to real filter ring diameters, dust caps and a dew shield for small telescopes, an accessory-shoe mount cut to the published shoe standard, and a Bahtinov mask — the open-source diffraction focusing aid whose angled slats turn a bright star into a spike pattern that tells you exactly when focus is right. Print in PLA for caps that live indoors; ASA or PETG for anything that spends nights outside on a dew-soaked tripod, because cold and damp are the working conditions here, not the exception.
