Dew Shield (80mm short-tube refractor)
A dew shield extension for the common 80mm f/5 short-tube refractor: a plain open tube, 120mm long — the standard rule of thumb says a dew shield should be at least 1.5× the aperture, and 1.5 × 80mm is 120mm — with an internal stop lip so it seats square. Bored at 104.6mm to slide over the factory dew shield, whose diameter is only known from owners' measurements (~104mm), not a spec sheet: measure yours before ordering and we will cut the bore to it. A dew shield works by slowing radiative cooling of the objective; longer is better until it vignettes. Print it in black, and matt the inside with flocking or paint — bare plastic reflects. ASA or PETG: this part lives outdoors at night, wet.
