Prototype 3D Printing
Prototyping is where 3D printing earns its keep — you can hold a physical version of your design in days, spot problems early, and iterate cheaply.

Common uses
- Proving a design before injection-mould tooling
- Fit and assembly checks
- Ergonomics and handling tests
- Investor and demo models
Iterate fast
Send a revised file whenever your design changes. Prototypes are usually printed in PLA or PETG to keep costs down, then moved to an engineering material once the design is settled.
From prototype to small batch
When your prototype is right, we can print a small batch to bridge production while you arrange tooling.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate are prototype prints?+
FDM prints typically hold tolerances of a few tenths of a millimetre depending on geometry. Tell us which dimensions are critical and we will orient the print to suit.
Which material for a prototype?+
PLA is fine for visual and fit checks. For functional testing, PETG or an engineering material is better.
