Frequently asked questions

How do I get a quote?+

Upload a 3D file for an instant guide estimate, or describe the part with measurements. We review printability and confirm your final quote by email.

Do I need a 3D file?+

No. If you do not have a model, describe the part and share photos and measurements. Our design help service can create a printable file.

What file types do you accept?+

STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP/STP and ZIP archives, up to 50 MB. STL gives the fastest automatic estimate.

Are my files private?+

Yes. Files upload to private storage, are never made public, and are only used to quote and produce your job.

Is the estimate the final price?+

No — it is a guide. The final quote depends on file review, print orientation, material and printability. We confirm before any work starts.

Which material is best?+

It depends on use: PLA for indoor/prototype, PETG for tough functional parts, ABS/ASA for heat and sun, TPU for flexible, Nylon/CF for strength. Not sure? We will recommend one.

Can you copy a broken part?+

Often, yes. Send the broken part or clear photos with measurements and we will recreate and print a replacement.

How strong are 3D printed parts?+

It depends on material, geometry and print orientation, which we set to suit the load. Many functional parts are as strong or stronger than the original.

Where do you work?+

We serve customers across South & West Yorkshire and nearby, and post parts more widely across the UK.

How do I pay and when?+

We confirm the quote first. Payment details are arranged once you approve the quote — there is no obligation to proceed from an estimate.
