3D Printed Fasteners & Spacers
Printed fasteners earn their place where metal is overkill or the size simply is not sold: an odd standoff height, a knob to replace one that snapped off a machine, a hand-tightened nut for a jig you adjust all day. These example designs cover metric washers, standoffs, hex and wing nuts, and control knobs. PETG is usually the right call — it has a bit of give, so a printed washer beds down rather than cracking, and it holds a thread better than PLA. Where the load genuinely matters, pair a printed knob or wing nut with a metal fastener and let the metal take it.
