Retaining Wall, Buttressed (OO)
A buttressed retaining wall at OO (1:76.2): 78.7mm long, 52.5mm tall and 5.91mm thick, with three battered buttresses projecting 11.8mm down the back — a 6000×4000mm prototype panel, 450mm thick. Sections butt end to end along a cutting. The wall itself is thick enough to be real at every scale offered here; the coping is the part to be honest about, at 0.98mm proud at OO. Brick courses are not modelled: at OO a 3-inch mortar joint is 0.20mm and there is no point pretending a nozzle will find it — this is a massing block you paint and weather. Prints standing on its bottom edge; the buttresses narrow going up, so nothing overhangs.
