Bridge Abutment (N)
The masonry abutment a girder span lands on, at N (1:148): 33.8mm wide, 29.9mm front to back over the wing walls and 33.1mm to the top of the bearing shelf, from a 5000×2500×4500mm prototype. Print a pair, one each side of the gap. At N this is a massing block and we would tell you so before printing: the 3.38mm wing walls are thick enough to build, but the stonework, the coping and the string course are not modelled and would not resolve at 1:148 — a 300mm prototype quoin is 2.03mm, which is under half a nozzle width. What you get is the correct shape at the correct size, ready to prime, texture and paint. All square blocks, so it prints flat with no support.
