Book Cradle (110° opening)
A museum-style display cradle that supports an open book at a fixed 110° opening angle — the default angle conservation cradle makers work to, tight enough to spare the binding, open enough to read the pages. Two 70mm wedge faces tilt toward a 24mm spine gap, so the boards are carried and the spine hangs free, which is the whole point of a cradle: an open book laid flat carries its weight on the spine. 180mm along the spine, for books to roughly A5. Both faces look upward, so it prints flat with no support. For anything genuinely fragile or valuable, a conservator should size the cradle to the binding — this is the geometry, honestly made, not a conservation assessment. PLA indoors is fine.
