Weaving Bobbin (4in boat shuttle)
A weaving bobbin to the classic 4in boat-shuttle pattern, built to the published trade figures: 4.5in (114mm) overall, 3⅝in (92mm) between flanges, flanges about 1in (25.4mm) across, and the 5/16in (7.9mm) centre bore the suppliers list — that bore is what rides the shuttle spindle, so it is the number that matters most. The 12mm winding core is our own choice; makers do not publish one. Weft winds between the flanges exactly as on the plastic originals. Prints flat on one flange; the upper flange's underside is a 6.7mm annular ledge, which FDM bridges cleanly. Check it in YOUR shuttle before printing a dozen — shuttle spindles vary, and the same design cuts to any bore for the same price. PETG holds its shape better than PLA with yarn wound on tight and left.
