Trickle Vent Canopy (260mm)
An external canopy for a trickle-vent slot: a 260×26mm hood with a weather skirt along the top and both ends and an open underside, so air passes but rain running down the frame does not — the same geometry as the aluminium canopies the vent makers sell. Two pairs of sprung fins with 0.8mm barbs push into the routed slot and grip its walls. Now the honest sizing paragraph, because trickle vents are only half a standard: the routed slots are consistently 10–13mm wide (the surface-mount vents are sold to fit over 10 or 12mm slots) but lengths run anywhere from 200 to 400mm+ by maker. This example is cut for a 12mm-wide slot with fin pairs at 140mm centres, covering a slot up to about 240mm — measure YOUR slot, both width and length, and we cut the same canopy to it for the same price. Prints face-down in one piece with skirt and fins rising vertically, no support. ASA or PETG: it lives on the weather side of a window frame; PLA bows in the first hot summer.
