Side-Release Buckle (20mm strap)
A side-release buckle for 20mm webbing, printed as a two-part kit on one plate — and the mechanism is the real one, not a lookalike: the male's two sprung prongs carry outward bumps that ride the cavity walls and click out into open side windows, and squeezing the bumps back through the windows releases it. The clearances that make a printed one work are fixed in the geometry and worth stating: 0.3mm a side on the prongs, 0.4mm vertically under the roof ribs, and the bumps stand 1.5mm proud. Each prong flexes about 1.2mm during insertion — roughly 2% strain at the root, which is why the material line is not negotiable: PETG has the spring; PLA snaps a prong the first cold morning. Printed flat, so the prongs bend along the layers instead of trying to peel them apart. Both ends take the webbing through a 3.5mm slot; melt-seal the cut ends before threading. Rated honestly: it holds a costume belt, a prop harness strap, a bag flap — it is not climbing or load-bearing hardware and never will be.
