Hive Entrance Reducer (BS National)
An entrance block for a BS National floor: a 21mm-square bar, 405mm long, with a 115×8mm notch that becomes the reduced doorway when the bar sits in the entrance — the same section and opening the traditional timber block uses (21mm so it cannot jam between the floor's 22mm rails; suppliers cut the notch anywhere from 7 to 9mm high). A smaller door is easier for a colony to defend against wasps and robbing, and it cuts winter draughts. Prints as two half-lengths that meet in the middle of the notch and wedge in just like the one-piece original. ASA or PETG only — this sits in sun on the hive front, and PLA will bow and soften out there. Bees do not mind either material once it has aired for a day or two.
