Nothing safety-critical, nothing that fails dangerously
There is heavy machinery, livestock and the public road in this environment, so the line is firm and we would rather state it than have you ask. No PTO components and no guard parts. No towing, hitch, coupling or braking components. No lifting or load-restraint parts. No road-legal lighting or marker parts. Nothing in a hydraulic path. Nothing holding a rotating mass. Nothing that a person's safety or an animal's containment on a road depends on. A printed part is layered, weaker across the layers than a moulded one, and it degrades in sun and cold — so its failure mode is a sudden snap rather than a slow sag, and it will pick the worst possible day for it. If a part failing could injure someone, put stock on a road, or wreck the machine, buy the proper part and we will tell you as much. Knobs, covers, clips, catches, tags and fittings where a failure is an inconvenience: that is our patch, and it is a long list.
Materials for the wet, the cold and the sun
ASA is the default for anything living outdoors, because UV is what actually kills outdoor plastic and ASA is the one that resists it while staying tough in a frost. PETG for the shed and the workshop. Nylon for wear surfaces, guides and anything abrading. TPU for bumpers, pads and dust seals. Two things worth designing around that people forget. Livestock chew, rub and lean on everything, so parts want thicker sections, generous radii, and no small components that can come loose and be swallowed — and PLA is doubly wrong here, because when it does fail it shatters into sharp fragments in a place full of animals and hands. And water sitting in a pocket will freeze and split almost anything, so where the shape allows it we design in a drain path.
Copying a spare from a broken original
Most of this machinery is out of support and the plastic parts were never sold separately anyway. Send the original — in pieces is normal — or measurements and photos with a rule in shot, plus the machine make, model and any part number moulded into the part. Shaft diameters, thread pitches, keyways and the exact geometry of a clip's snap features are what decide whether a copy works, so those we measure twice and check with you before printing. We share the file so you can compare it against the machine. Then print a batch, because that is the real win here: the design work happens once, breakdowns repeat, and a set of spares in the workshop turns the next one from a week of downtime into a five-minute job.

Agricultural & Smallholding Parts — FAQ
Can you print a part for my trailer's hitch, brakes or lights?+
No. Towing, braking, load-restraint and road-legal lighting components are all out, and no amount of downtime changes that. Those parts have to be the proper ones, on a road, with other people on it. Ask us for the knob, the cover or the clip instead.
What material actually lasts outside?+
ASA. UV is what destroys outdoor plastic, and ASA resists it while staying impact-tough in the cold — which is the combination a British winter and a July field both demand. PETG is fine under cover. PLA is not fit for outdoor use at all.
Can you copy a knob off a machine the dealer no longer supports?+
That is the core case for this. Send the broken part or measurements with photos, plus the machine and part number if you have them. Once the file exists, printing three more for the shelf costs very little — and the same thing will break again.
Will livestock damage a printed part?+
Yes — they chew, rub and lean on everything, and a printed part will not outlast that as well as a moulded one. We design chunkier and avoid anything small enough to come loose and be swallowed. Treat a printed part here as a good repair with a known life, not a permanent fix.
How much does agricultural & smallholding parts cost?+

Yes. Uploaded files go to private storage, are never made public, and are only used to quote and produce your job.

What Is TPU (Flexible Filament)?
TPU is printable rubber. It bends, grips, seals and absorbs shock — and it behaves nothing like PLA, which is the whole point and the whole difficulty.
